I want to hear and know your personalized story. These appointments are conducted in a safe and secure space so that you can feel comfortable sharing your journey. My goal to build a trusting patient-practitioner therapeutic relationship. I want to know you as a "person" not just the symptoms you are experiencing.
I utilize a holistic and integrative approach to psychiatric and care. This means that my appointment times are longer and we will explore your mental health and mental wellness from a functional, spiritual, physical, social, and emotional wellness perspective.
Psychopharmacology refers to the use of medication in treating mental health conditions. Medications can play a role in improving most mental health conditions. Some patients are treated with medication alone, while others are treated in combination with therapy or other treatments.
Generally speaking, research shows that the most effective treatments for most mental health conditions involve a combination of medications and psychotherapy. In some instances, psychiatric medications can be used for short-term relief of symptoms. In other cases, medications may prove to be beneficial for a longer period of time. Every patient will be assessed for the need (or not) of medication management. My goal is to tailor psychopharmacology treatment based on the latest research as well as individual patient goals.
I offer supportive psychotherapy with every session and more in-depth psychothrerapy on an individualized basis. I utilize an eclectic, holistic, integrative, approach that draws on a range of techniques and models of the human mind. My approach is always client centered
